Amazon Lifesavers Ministry is run by volunteer Seventh-day Adventist lay people who are dedicated to reaching villages along the rivers in Brazil’s Amazon jungle region. The project officially began in 2007, continuing the work started by Leo and Jessie Halliwell in the early 1930s. The project is growing rapidly and strives to support the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.
