On this very day ten years ago, something special happened.

On October 22, 2005, Curtis Farnham and Tim Arakawa, two friends in Southern California launched a small website called AudioVerse. Since that time, this little site has grown to reach tens of thousands of people around the world each month, and delivers millions of free Adventist messages each year. Countless individuals have had their questions answered, spiritual lives renewed, and relationship with Jesus invigorated through the messages they’ve found on this site.

Maybe you are one of those individuals.

Here's a peek back at the original AudioVerse website from a decade ago.

In my roles as a volunteer with this ministry since very early in its existence and then as Executive Director for the past three years, the one thing that has absolutely stunned and humbled me, is to see the incredible reliability of God’s Word. He promised in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” The lives transformed through the messages from AudioVerse are a testament to the power of God’s Word! Indeed, even though the times and technology have changed, there is power in the simple preaching of the Word of God. Whenever it is faithfully preached, sure results are guaranteed to follow—He promised!

A Simple Mission: Simply the Word. Delivered Simply.

For the past 10 years, the AudioVerse team has been driven by a very simple mission: To utilize technology to make the Word as accessible to people as possible. It began simply as the online archive for messages recorded at Advent HOPE Sabbath School in Loma Linda. It then grew to include messages from many other churches and events throughout the year such as ASI and GYC. Then earlier this year, we finally put the “Verse” in AudioVerse by launching the audio Bibles. Now there are over 8000 messages available across 5 different languages from over 700 speakers available on the AudioVerse website and mobile apps. If you’re looking for something in particular, you will likely find it on AudioVerse.

But there’s something more that we can do.

I am very excited to share with you today, some amazing new content that will further this mission of delivering the Word to the people.

A Special Gift—Repackaged

As many of you are aware, our audiobook library has contained only a few volumes up to now, but that all changes today.

The Ellen G. White Estate has graciously allowed us to share with you their entire archive of Spirit of Prophecy audiobooks. So today we are announcing the release of over 30 new audiobooks in English, along with numerous audiobooks in all of our other language sites. These high-quality, professional recordings that have been carefully produced by the White Estate include many of the major volumes of Mrs. White’s work.

We are very grateful for the generosity of the White Estate in allowing AudioVerse to help make these precious messages available widely through our website as well as our mobile apps. We admit that while the launching of these audiobooks today may be a special gift, it is simply a repackaging and “regifting” of the precious treasure of the “Testimony of Jesus” that God has already given to His church. It is our prayer that you will be blessed and transformed into Christ’s likeness as you listen, absorb, and meditate on the precious words from the pen of Inspiration.

As with any birthdays or anniversaries for Adventists awaiting our Lord’s return, our happiness and celebration are somewhat measured. We recount the Lord’s blessings to strengthen our faith, but we also longingly look forward to that day when He comes again.
