Deniza was born into a liberal Muslim family in Zagreb, Croatia. Her father encouraged all six children to be proud of their religion as the only true faith. They were taught to excel in everything they did as an example of good Islam. At a young age, Deniza studied and practiced Karate and later became the undefeated Yugoslavian champion in the heavy weight category for girls. She was introduced to Christianity at twenty-two years of age by a Catholic monk and later received some remarkable dreams which revealed to her who is the truth and where to find Him. She was led directly to the Seventh-day Adventist church. She studied theology at the Croatian Adventist Seminary where she met her husband in 1997. She holds a B.A in Fine Art, a B. A. in Religion, and an M.A. in History of Art and Design. Deniza also holds a post graduate degree in Art Education.

Deniza is now a full time mother of three and home school educator. Her husband is the Youth Director for the North England Conference.
