The tragedy of the aftermath of Hurricane Helene has been uppermost in our minds, as I’m sure it has been for many of our listeners. In fact, a member of our AudioVerse team and his family lives in the heart of the area affected in Western North Carolina, and other team members have gone there to assist with the disaster relief efforts.

Now, at the time of this writing, even as the recovery efforts continue in many Southeast states Hurricane Milton is bearing down on Florida where countless others are in the path of danger.

In times like these, I am reminded of this promise from Scripture:

But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. -Isaiah 43:1-2
