My wife and I have the privilege of being parents to a precious little 1-year old baby girl. Throughout this past year, we’ve endeavored to find ways to introduce her to Jesus and to invite Him to be a regular presence in our home. One of the ways we’ve done this is with the free audio Bibles available on AudioVerse.

Each afternoon, we have “quiet time” with our daughter where we pause a few minutes and sit together to listen to a few chapters of the dramatized KJV audio Bible. Not only does our child get exposed to the Word early (she’s gone through seven books of the Bible already at her tender age!), the high-quality and engaging narration grips us parents so much that we sometimes don’t want to stop! These quiet moments of hearing God’s Word along with our family worships have been precious oases of time to pause to reconnect with each other and with God. (Not to mention, they offer great practice for how to be reverent in church!)

I know my baby isn’t the only one listening to the audio Bibles, because roughly a quarter of all media downloads from AudioVerse now are of the audio Bibles. That’s more than 65,000 chapters of the Bible being listened to every single month! Praise God!

The Word Never Returns Void

When I consider the number of individuals who are receiving the Word each day through the sermons, audiobooks, and audio Bibles from AudioVerse, the promise of Isaiah 55:11 always comes to mind:

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

I can trust and know with certainty that lives are being transformed because the Word is reaching people and God’s Word never fails in its mission. That is certainly our prayer for our little girl.
