Autumn is here in the United States, and we know because of the chillier mornings and the red and gold-tinted leaves. All of this portends that big changes are on the way. This is fitting because there are also changes in the air for AudioVerse that you can look forward to.

But before I get to those, I want to take a moment to point out that Elder Ted Wilson’s message to the 2014 Annual Council of the General Conference has been posted on AudioVerse. Take a moment to watch, listen, or read this message given by our church president at the final Annual Council session before the world church meets at the General Conference session next summer. AmazonSmile

Some of you may have noticed that the AudioVerse Amazon shopping links are gone. Indeed, that program is no longer available to us, however I am happy to let you know that there is STILL a way for you to shop at Amazon and have a portion of your purchase go towards AudioVerse. It is through a program called AmazonSmile. Here’s what you need to do to participate:

1. Visit the website: http://smile.amazon.com instead of the regular Amazon site.
2. When prompted (or at the top of the screen) you can search for “AudioVerse” as the charitable organization that you wish to support.
3. Simply select it, then go about shopping at the AmazonSmile website as usual and 0.5% of every sale will be remitted to AudioVerse. (Your account information, wishlists, and shopping cart will remain the same.)

That’s all there is to it! Just be sure to bookmark the new AmazonSmile website or else your browser will likely default back to the regular Amazon site. Especially with the holiday gift-giving season coming up, you can help AudioVerse each time you shop on Amazon!

A New Website

Perhaps an even more exciting change is that we will be unveiling a brand-new AudioVerse website in the next few weeks. We have been working really hard on this over the last few months and believe that the site will be better than ever. We’ve considered a lot of user feedback and think some of the powerful new features will make finding, listening to, and sharing messages so much easier. Here are a few things you can look forward to:

• A Favorites list to mark what you want to come back to later.
• Playlists to create your own custom series of messages, perfect for sharing with your friends.
• Enhanced search and filtering to make finding specific messages easier and faster.
• Transcriptions of messages so you can read as well as listen.
• A whole new look and feel. Designed to be prettier and more functional.
• And much more!
